First of all, did you a PC Card wireless netowork adapter?  If so, it will not work, since your B130 does not have an PC Card slot.  It has the newer technology Express Card slot, as as far as I know, the manufacturers of wireless network adapters have not yet released an Express Card wireless network adapter.   My question is why do you need a 108 Mbps network?  If you are frequently transferring lots of large files between the computers on the local network, then it may make sense.  But if you are thinking that this will increase your internet browsing speed or downloading speed, think again, as even the fastest broadband connections available don't reach speeds any higher than 15 Mbps.

steve....thanks for answering. I didn't understand your 1st question.
I bought the higher 108 mbps card to extend my range....will it not do this? Also, I did think that it would help with my broadband connection speed, but as you stated, I guess it will not? Is it hard to switch out the cards, or should I just leave it the way it is? And one more question for you, about the express card slot, what does one actually put into this? As I have read on many computer sites, this was a waste of a notebook option on dell's part and it is useless...... Everyone seems to think an extra usb port or flash reader would have been more suitable for all practical purposes....what's your 2 cents on the subject???

thanks

There should be Express Cards for the Express Card slot coming out soon (but they have been saying this for the last 6 months).  Nearly all computer manufacturers are making machines with Express Card slots.  These replace the older technology PC Card slots.  If your new network card is a PC Card, then there is no slot for it on your B130.  Exaclty which make and model 108 Mbps wireless card did you buy?  If it is a PC Card, then it will not work.  If it is a MiniPCI card then it will go in the MiniPCI slot inside your computer.  But, the only cards I know of that will fit in that slot are Pre-N cards which are non-standard and may not work with all routers.

That adapter is a PC Card wireless adapter.  Since there is no PC Card slot on the B130, there is no way that it can be installed.
