Set the TCP/IP properties back to dhcp. Then, to help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.
I had in fact added some MAC and IP filters, but since your message, I have reset the router, and it is now at default settings. By the way, my wireless network has reappeared on my list, but is continuing to show "Limited or no connectivity". However, I ran "ipconfig" again, and it is now showing an IP address of 192.168.2.92, with no autoconfiguration IP address.
If your TCP/IP settings are now set to obtain an IP address automically, you are now getting a proper IP address from the router. Does the internet now work? What kind on internet service do you have - cable or dsl?
Well now my wireless hookup seems to be working very well, which was not the case at the time of my last post. But oddly, my network connection list still tells me I have "Limited or no connectivity"....hmmmm. (BTW, I use a cable modem.) Now I'm scared to turn it off... it seems to come & go at random. Would like to add encryption, but am afraid to mess it up. Should I worry at this point, and if I lose the connection again, what steps should I take to fix it? You've been very helpful, Steve, both with me and with others whose posts I've followed to help resolve this, but I feel like somehow it resolved itself overnight without my involvement.
Are you sure the "limited or no connectivity" is not on the ethernet port? When it using the wireless connection, the other connection will not be connected. It is important to add security to your wireless network, otherwise, anyone within range can use your network and can potentially have access to your files, especially if File and Printer Sharing is enabled. Just follow the directions and add the security settings one at a time, making sure everything still works after each step.
No ethernet cable conneted, so doubt that's the issue with "No Connectivity" message. (Plus, it only shows up in the "Wireless Networks" window.) I am connecting to the internet for now, (we'll see about tomorrow), so I guess I'll ignore it... just curious why it'd be saying that, and if it might be hinting at some unresolved issue. I have enabled WEP encryption on my router, and that went very well. Thanks agian, Steve, and if I have any more problems, I'll know who to look for in these discussions.

Is the router using all default settings (i.e. did you change any of the settings at all)?
