BCM V92 56K Modem Not Working?

I have a Dell 8300 with a BCM V92 56K modem installed and I am having a problem browsing the Internet. The modem seems to connect using my Internet Service Provider but no pages display on-screen for me to be able to browse. I used my laptop and am able to connect and browse without any problems! Could there be something wrong with my modem? Please let me know before I discard it and get me a new one. Thanks!
