Belkin pre-n notebook card

Question

Installed Belkin Pre-n Router and desktop card. Amazing range and strength (108mps) all over the house and outside. However installed pre-n card in Dell 600m,worked fine but once I shut down notebook would not restart windows XP. Belkin Support says card is not compatible with laptop.IS THIS POSSIBLE. Reinstalled Linksys wireless G card and works fine (54mps) which is the Max for this card. Sent card back to Buy.com for credit.   Anyone had experience with this issue.

umm ... i seriously doubt it would not be compatible unless it has a problem with certain cardbus chipsets.

that said, I wish I had the money to blow on something that's not even an approved standard yet ;-)
