Belkin pre-n notebook card

Installed Belkin Pre-n Router and desktop card. Amazing range and strength (108mps) all over the house and outside.
However installed pre-n card in Dell 600m,worked fine but once I shut down notebook would not restart windows XP.
Belkin Support says card is not compatible with laptop.IS THIS POSSIBLE.
Reinstalled Linksys wireless G card and works fine (54mps) which is the Max for this card.
Sent card back to Buy.com for credit.

Anyone had experience with this issue.

umm ...  i seriously doubt it would not be compatible unless it has a problem with certain cardbus chipsets.

that said, I wish I had the money to blow on something that's not even an approved standard yet ;-)

I'm working on it!

and I mean, draft-G stuff was one thing back in the day -- but there was at least a *single* draft at that point ...   one-half of the current n-stuff (or all of it) is not going to make it

I work, I play, I help here.  And I'm at a point in my life I don't have to worry about spending a little extra on myself or my wife.  Thank you for your input.

Obviously with over 27000 posts you don't have a job so therefore you don't have to worry about blowing your "money"
