I assume you know what the gateway is for, and you are questioning the inclusion of the wireless USB adapter.  The C521 does not attach to a wireless network on its own; it must have a wireless device installed into it for this purpose.  I use a Belkin PCI wireless adapter in my home machines, but this required me to install a software driver and open the computer to physically install the card.  The advantage of using a USB wireless adapter is that you don't need to open the computer.  You may need to install a software driver for the USB port, but all you do after that is run a USB 2.0 cable between the Wireless G USB network adapter and a USB port on your computer.

The nice thing about wireless on desktops is that you don't need to run CAT 5 Ethernet cable all around the house to connect multiple computers to your broadband access point.  If the computer is close enough to the access point, however, a direct cable connection is still best.

Hi "JackShack"

Thanks for the reply and info very much appreciated.
At this time I've got very little time to research anything
as I'm juggling between two babies, a few minutes here
and there.

So thanks again

Regards

JG
