better wireless router?

I am looking at the Linksys ( http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3910279) and Dlink ( http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2470118) wireless routers.  I have a Dimension 8400 MCE2005, and Xbox (original), and my sister has an Inspiron 1200.  I have a standard sized house, but was wondering which router is better?  Do they support the new WPA2, or is it WEP2?

Thanks.

My personal favourite is the Linksys :smileywink:

You should be aware of the following:
1.  There are several hardware versions of WRT54GS so when you do upgrade the firmware, make sure it is compatible with the hardware version as the latest hardware version 5 isn't compatible with firmware designed for older versions.  (You won't know which hardware version is being sold by Walmart until it is sitting in front of you.)

2.  The standard 802.11g is rated at 54Mbps; the performance boosting features offered by either router can boost the max rates to 125Mbps (Linksys, Buffalo, and other Broadcom based routers) and 108Mbps (D-Link and the rest), but you must be using a compatible adapter.

Also have a look at the Belkin Pre-N router. I have read a lot of glowing reviews about this new hardware. The main feature is that it has great range and does not drop in speed in a mixed-mode environment. And it doea support WEP and WPA.
