Blocked Images-Red "X" Problem

I see that others have had this problem in the past, but I didn't see any solutions.  While in "Outlook Express" I cleared the "Blocked images and other external content in HTML e-mail" check box but I still get some e-mails with the IMAGES blocked with the RED "X".  I don't think I have any "Blocking" software.  Anyone have the answer.

The red X is because the address in the email is not connecting to the internet. It could be that the addreess is incorrect, bad programing, or the picture has been removed at the source. You may be able to see the address by right clicking the X or look at the properties of the email and check the picture in your brouser. You must be online if the email is HTML and looking for an internet address.

Hope this helps.

A lot of emails sent, strip away the pictures and replace them with the X.  Just right click the X and allow the pictures to be downloaded, as long as you have a live connection.  IE does not necessarily have to be open.

Thanks for the help.  We have two computers in the house.  My friend received the e-mail images and can view them, then forwards them to me and I get the red X.  I tried right clicking the red X and all I got was the option to "Select All".  I can't figure it out.  TX again.
