blue screen (linksys wireless g adapter device driver)

I have a Dimension E510 with the most updated version of the Windows XP Professional operating system installed. I have installed a linksys wireless g adapter and most current device driver. It is the only new device driver that has been installed on the computer. When the system boots I get the infamous blue screen with a message (paraphrased) that tells me to remove any new device drivers or software etc. etc. and reboot to correct the problem or check the bios or do this or do that. It will/does correct the problem but then I can't use the adapter because it is not installed. So I re-install the device driver but not the adapter. I attach the adapter after the system boots which seems to work and provides network connectivity but I should not have to disconnect and reconnect the adapter everytime I boot the system (even after I do this I still get the blue screen occasionally). There must be a fix, patch or solution that corrects the problem, I just don't know what it is or where to find it. Any suggestions or help?
