Bluetooth connectivity issues
Alright, I have an Inspiron 600m and a wonderful little bluetooth cellphone. I am trying desperately to connect these two with this vaunted bluetooth that i paid an extra $50 to get with this cell phone. I researched how to connect them and everytime i turn around the people say "Just go into control panel and click the bluetooth devices icon." Well lucky me, i don't have that icon! I looked around for it everywhere i could and it's simply not on my computer. I discovered that perhaps the previous owner simply didn't download the software so i found my drivers disk and downloaded it. It kept giving me the comment that i didn't have the "Bluetooth radio" on and that i should click "Fn" and "F2" To turn on the radio. Well i did this many times, clicking the little ok button and that stubborn little box won't be polite and get out of a lady's way! The installation won't continue. When i click cancel it says the bluetooth device wasn't detected. Well I know that this "Bluetooth radio" must be on because i downloaded another nifty little item that showed me when it's on and when it's not (This is also on the drivers disk). Does anyone know what else i can do to get that cruel little box to go away and my bluetooth to show up?
I also tried downloading the driver straight from dell.com and it does the same thing.
