Bluetooth Device Not Found.
I'm starting to believe my bluetooth card has vanished.
I'm using an Inspiron e1405 with Windows XP (Media Center)
A day or two ago my mouse and keyboard stopped working, I use a Logitech MX5000 combo. It wouldn't reconnect so I was forced to restart my computer. Once I restarted my computer, my Bluetooth symbol came up red.
Under diagnostics in Bluetooth Configuration it tells me that the "Bluetooth Device is not found."
The software it uses is WIDCOMM 5.0.1.2703, I cannot update this as it tells me to enable bluetooth which I cannot do.
I know my bluetooth card is internal, but I'm not sure exactly what one. I've looked in run > msinfo32.exe (Using the guide to find what model it is.) but I could not find one listed.
I've tried installing drivers and updates listed but none can be installed due to it not finding a bluetooth device or a later version of WIDCOMM already installed.
I know it does exist on my computer because a few days ago I was using it to transfer files to my phone. It just seems like that when my mouse and keyboard died and I restarted my computer, it also killed my bluetooth card. I'd hate to have to buy another, so I'm hoping someone has a solution to my there yet, not there, bluetooth issue.

I also went into the bios and it's in there and enabled, I even turned it off, loaded, then went back and turned it back on. The device which is working properly according to this silly computer, still cannot be found.

It won't let me uninstall that. Not sure why, it gives me the option to uninstall most everything else, but nothing Bluetooth can be.
Not sure if there's a way to force uninstall this thing or not.

I think I'll take it in somewhere for one last shot at fixing it before I resort to reformatting. I hate reformatting.
Thanks for your help. :)

If for some reason you cant find the device listed in the device manager it means 2 things.
1. it does not exist
2. its disabled in the bios.
every device needs to be there, if the drivers are installed than it will show up properly, if not than it may be listed in Other devices or with a yellow question mark or an exclaimation.
