Bluetooth does not work
I hope someone can help me. I own a Dell E1505 that has Bluetooth built in. I have checked the BIOS and everything is enabled (Bluetooth and WiFi). Yet, I can not find a way to use it. There is no B on my task bar, nothing in the control panel, etc. . . I am trying to use my bluetooth headset (which works fine with my cell) with the laptop. How do I go from checking that Bluetooth is enabled in the BIOS to actually seeing it on the laptop? I need help!

This may sound silly, but have you insalled the software? But you can try to go to the Control Panel and the bluetooth icon should be there.

And, there is no icon in the control panel. This shouldn't be this hard.

Geez, I didn't know there was any extra software to install. I only have a WordPerfect, Operating System and Drivers and Utilities cds that came with the laptop. I don't see anything about bluetooth. Will it be on the drivers/utilities cd?

I've checked and tried to install the drivers. When I checked the BIOS, it says the bluetooth and Wifi is enabled. When I try and install the drivers from the resource cd, it says there is no compatible bluetooth in the laptop. I am confused and lost. HELP!

Well, this clears it up some, your computer is not recognizing the card. I had the same problem, and came to the conclusion that is was the wrong card for my system, which I found out not all 355 bluetooth cards are the same. So I think you options are:
1) Take out the card, reboot, the shut the computer down and install the card again.
2) The card is either defective or the wrong one for the computer.

Thanks. I'm trying to remove the card now. Hope just pulling it and reinstalling will fix. Thanks again.
