Bluetooth E5500

I have a Latidude E5500 Laptop. I can't access the bluetooth. I'm not sure if bluetooth is build in to the laptop, although there is a bluetooth emblem next to the wifi at the top left of the keypad. Can anybody please help me and tell me how to turn bluetooth on or how to download bluetooth if not built in. I've even bought a bluetooth dongle but it won't install!!

Thanks - Richard

Hi Richard,

Request you to try following the below steps which might help:

(1)   You may use the below link and update Bluetooth drivers:

http://dell.to/19sMAiT

Select right operating system, under network tab download Bluetooth drivers depending upon the type of wireless card you have.

(2)   Restart the computer.

(3)   At the Dell logo, keep tapping F2 key until BIOS screen appears.

(4)   Move to wireless tab, select Wireless tab and use a check box to determine which wireless devices will be controlled by the wireless switch

(5)   Then move to Wireless Devices option and enable Bluetooth.

(6)   Then you may turn on the wireless switch physically by referring the below picture:

Hi Kiran

I don't have a memory card! I have a bluetooth dongle (asaki A-K700). Can bluetooth be accessed using this?

Thanks for your help

Hi,

In the boot menu I am all set. When I install the drivers at some point it tells me to switch the bluetooth on using the wireless switch. I flip it over and over again but the bluetooth icon is still dim. The driver doesn't give me any other option except to cancel installation. Could you help me?

Thanks,

Dinis
