srujan,

Places to look to see if your Bluetooth Connection is enabled

Start, in search type

bttray

click on it. this will put the bluetooth icon in the system tray near the clock.

Hit the Windows Key and the R keys at the same time. Type

systeminfo.txt

REMOVE THE PRODUCT ID and post the rest of the information back here. (Preferred)

or an ipconfig /all log and maybe it will reveal something.

Hi. Also check if Bluetooth is detected by the motherboard or turned off by default. You need to check this at BIOS.

Good luck.

Greetings,

Not all N4110 come with Bluetooth devices, I would first check to make sure your computer is capable of supporting bluetooth devices.  If it is, then most likely it a combo card that has both BGN wireless ability as well has bluetooth. Couple of suggestions, check your drivers, goto http://support.dell.com to download the most up-to-date drivers available for your computer.  Also if there is a BIOS update I would also suggest you download it and apply it to your system.    If this is not working I would highly suggest calling our technical support line if you need any further assistance or if you have any questions.

Hi all,

Thanks for the suggestions..

@anshul    I formatted the system and installed all the drivers again and now its working perfectly.

For the bluetooth driver, after u insert ur drivers cd, install the one which has a tick mark ( HS BT driver  ).

This probably would work.

@srujan,

I tried re-installing the drivers without formatting... It didn't work... formatting the laptop doesn't sound like a good option :(

Is there something else which you can suggest without formatting ?

Thanks

Anshul
