Check that the Bluetooth module is properly seated, using the information in the Service Manual.

Are you sure your D600 has no warranty anymore?  D600 has been out for less than 1.5 years, how can it be expired, when the standard warranty for Latitude is 3-year?

I was having the same problem with my Bluetooth. I would also get unknown USB device errors. The USB problem seemed to occur most often when I was typing or when any pressure is applied to the front right side just below the keyboard My laptop did the unknown USB thing 99% of the time. I noticed that it did it more often when I was typing and applying pressure to the front right hand side. So I pressed on that side with my finger and it came up Bluetooth adapter found”, and it also showed up in the device manager. When I let off the pressure the Bluetooth adapter disappeared in the device manager and it came up unknown USB device. I reseated the Bluetooth adapter and now it works great. I got my Bluetooth back and got rid of those darn unknown USB device popups

This is a very common problem with D600 and its bluetooth.  It happened to mine in less than one month after I received my D600, and less than a week for my friend's D600.  In both cases, they have to replace the system board.  You should call Dell Tech Support, and get it fixed asap.

so must replace a new board ? not the module problem ?

Well, it was fixed. As soon as I took my laptop home the bluetooth card became loose again. So I am back to square one. The card is just barely on there I dont know how they sold them like this. If the laptop gets turned upside down the adapter will just fall off.

Dell said they are going to send someone out to replace the Mobo and bluetooth card. The problem is that they are backordered on the replacement bluetooth card. They are supposed to call me when they come in.

the small BT connector on the system board was broken, so they had to replace the system board.

Same thing happened to me. About 3 weeks after getting the D600. I pulled out the module and put it back in but it started happening as soon as I put my palm down to type. Hmmm. At least I'm not the only one. It's time to see if Dell support is going to step up...

FWIW; my D600 had (has) the exact same symptoms after about 4 weeks. I have the mail-in warranty, which worked very quickly. Airborne came with a box and picked up the laptop one (business) day after my report and it came back 2 days later without incident. The repair depot seems to be in Memphis.

Unfortunately the problem isn't fixed. The repair report shows they replaced the Bluetooth card and updated the BIOS (fine by me). But after a few finds and losses of the card on USB, it's now completely gone.

Has anyone tried placing a small piece of foam in there to hold the card in place? I haven't opened the laptop myself yet, since it's under warranty, but sending it back and forth will get old real fast.

After looking through some other threads, I checked the BIOS setup, which reports that the Bluetooth radio is not installed. Disabling the miniPCI port as suggested elsewhere takes the 802.11b Centrino radio down and does nothing else (i.e. no effect on Bluetooth behavior). Nor do I see the Bluetooth device listed in Device Manager any more at all.

It would seem that the mb also should have been replaced, but then others have reported that this, too, fails to remedy the problem How about a little electronics glue?
