Bluetooth problems
Hello all. I have just installed a Bluetooth module (P/N UG748, Rev A01) in my XPS M1730 ... Windows 7 detects and installs the drivers just fine. After that, the Bluetooth LED starts to flash, so I assume Windows knows what the device is.
What I notice is... No Bluetooth icon appears in My Computer, no Bluetooth device shows up in Device Manager,my laptop slows down quite a lot and the worst problem of all is.. the module STOPS my laptop from connecting to my router. It just completely blocks access to my router via wireless.
The laptop can still SEE the router, but as soon as it tries to connect, if fails. Why does this happen? And more to the point, why doesn't the Bluetooth adapter work in the laptop? Why won't Windows pick it up and display the relevant info in Device Manager?
Has anyone had any experience with this BT module? Is this normal for this module? Or is mine faulty? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, i guess the BAD news here is it wasn't an upgrade. It was a full (clean) installation of Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Therefore, all software/driver installations were clean form the beginning. I guess performing another clean installation won't be a bad idea... it's just all the backups I have to do takes hours.
