Bluetooth Unable to install

I installed Windows 8 (Build 9200)on Dell Inspiron 1545, Service Tag No - Service tag removed per privacy policy>. Peviously it was working in Windows 7 & Vista

Please Help me in this issue,

Hi sharathkarthik,

Dell has not tested Windows 8 on Inspiron 1545. The available drivers are compatible with Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Hence, Windows 8 drivers are not available. You may try installing the blue tooth driver for Windows 7 in compatibility mode which may or may not work.

  • Download the Windows 7 blue tooth.
  • Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties -- > Compatibility Tab
  • Select Windows 7 from the list in the following image.
  • Click Apply -- > OK
  • Right Click the file and select the Run As Administrator option to install.

Please reply for any clarifications.
