Broadcom 4401 NIC Problem

I have a Dimension 2350 with a Braodcom 4401. The problem I am having is when I reinstalled my Windows XP Home Ed. I loaded the drivers needed but now I can not hook up to the internet through the Ethernet port is there a way to fix this problem?????? I also notice that the message keeps popping up that the network cable is unplugged. It  connects and then disconnects every few seconds I don't understand y... Please Help.

When you reinstalled the OS, did you also reinstall the Chip set drivers?  The best place to get the most current driver for that NIC is from Broadcom.

What speed is set for the connection?
100
10
Gigabit ?
In some cases, auto(detect) may be faulty in practice and you may get better results to force a given speed, such as 100 Full or 100 half or 10 half or 10 full (duplex)
