Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 2

Question

I have 3 Network Interfaces in this program.      - Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller     - Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection       - 1394 Net Adapter     What i want to know is what is the difference between them? And why would the Broadcom be X out while the other two are not? And is there a way to remove the X?

The first one is your ethernet port, used to connect to a router or cable modem using wired technology.   The second one is your wireless card, used to connect to a router using wireless technology.   The third one I believe if your firewire port, although I don't know why firewire ports are seen as 'network connections'.   Maybe the reason one is crossed out is that you don't have a driver for it? Visit http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=gen&SystemID=INSPIRONI6400/E1505&os=WLH&osl=EN and change the computer model number to match yours and have a look in the network section for drivers for it.
