Broadcom BCM5078C not working after reboot?

We have a backup server that has a Broadcom BCM5078C NetXtreme II Gig E card. It will work fine until you reboot the server. After a reboot the network card will still be listed but will not function. If you remove the NIC from Device Manager and reboot it will find the card again and will work. For obvious reasons we can not put this server into production like this. Any advice?
