The network and modem are on the same card but they dont use the combine drivers u need to install them seperatly.

Does the device manager reconize the devices or not?

if they dont try removing the card and plugging it bzack inagain, you will need to consult the manual for this

well that's the problem . the device manager is not finding it. it's like it's not installed at all !! :\ i'm using now PCMCI netwrok card to connect, but i want to use the one which comes with the laptop ( i bought this laptop couple days ago it;s used)

u mite need to allow it to be seen in the bios

do a bios reset to defaults

if this doesnt wrk then, remove that card form the notebook and plug it back in again and see that solves the problem

i checked the service manual.....
it seems that i physicaly lack mini-pci card :\ someone jakced it before i bough the laptop.. hahahah

this suxs.

PS: Well, now i'm considering buying a mini-pci, is there anythin that i should to know ? are there any specific mini-pci for dell latitude or just any mini-pci will do the job ? and by any chance can mini-pci have blooth+WiFi(or whatever it is acctualy called ) wireless networking ? :p

If the BIOS is saying you don't have a modem/NIC card installed in the MiniPCI slot then you don't have one or it has gone south and you need to replace it.

There is nothing else you can do.
