c600 modem

Customer has a c600 with internal nic/modem. modem is giving blue scseen errors "the dsp code could not be unloaded, error 1010, failure cause #2". I have latest drivers installed, system sometimes doesn't recognise it has a modem. As a temp solution installed a pcmcia modem to get him up and working. I am not sure if this is a software or hardware error. Thanks

wsalmons,

Try completely uninstalling the modem and its software then reinstall it and se if that resolves the issue.

Thank you for choosing Dell.

wsalmons,

It doesn't matter if you have the latest drivers.
What I stated was to completely remove the drivers then install the latest drivers.
You may also want to reseat the card to make sure it does not have a loose connection.

Thank you for choosing Dell.

I am supposed to use the list of drivers from the extracted download to find on them on the laptop, delete them and then reinstall them. I will also check on reseating modem card in laptop.

I have wIN2K with the minipci combo modem.. When i try to connect to the ISP it dials, but when trying to connect it freezes...

I've tried with another modem and it works.. but i still can't make the 3com built in modem..is there any additional setting i have to make?
