This is a question I believe you're going to have to ask dell directly via email or phone unless you can dig up the specs sheet on this modem on the dell site.

Any of information I have given is an attempt to point you in the right direction to help you connect better. I assume no responsiblity for any possible modem or computer damage that could occur from using any of the information or procedures given. Any updates performed while your hardware is under manufacturer warranty without the permission of your manufacturer could potentially void that warranty.

I think it's great you got ? software to work on your system.
What software is it.? I've been trying to do the same thing.
The PhoneWorks software that was included on mine no longer supports CID according to BVRP, the company that makes it.
Please do tell what program we can use to get CID name and number display.
... Looking at all the messages in here and trying to wade through this I can see that it would help many more than just myself.
Thanks in advance.!

I've been looking for info about the same thing on the Conexant SmartHSFi V92 and I'm sure I saw somewhere that your modem does support Caller ID. Mine is supposed to support Caller ID too but I can't get it to work. I've tried Dell's Modem-on-Hold software and "ID Commander" and "Phone Bazooka" shareware progs but none recognise incoming numbers.
I'd be interested to hear what software has actually worked. I have read somewhere that there is a problem finding modem drivers for Win XP that fully support Caller ID. I'm on XP but the info on the Dell modem driver CD does say that my modem supports Caller ID under various OS including XP.
I've just sent an email enquiry to Tech Support today. I will post their advice if its helpful.

On a quick perusal, I do not see any mention of CID.
