Have you tried temporarily disabling the firewall in McAfee to see if that is the problem?

Are you sure that the networks you are trying to connect to at other places are open non-secured networks that don't require either registration of you MAC address or a security key?  What kinds of "other places" are you talking about?

Yes i am sure. It is at a fire station and there are 10 other people that have thier laptops working with no problems.

When you are at the fire station, do the following - Go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

Thank you for leaving out all of the carriage returns making it oh so difficult to read.  Here's what it is supposed to look like:

Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . :
Laptop05 Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . :
Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid
IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-14-22-F5-48-56
Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Networ k Connection
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-13-CE-65-88-FD
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
I P Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:

Bluetooth Personal Area Network from TOSHIBA
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-10-C6-EC-FA-04

If this output is correct, then the one problem I see is that the DNS server address is not what I would expect from a router (although since I don't know the make and model of the router, I can't be absolutely sure).  The output says the DNS servers are at 192.168.0.1, but I would expect them to be the same as the DHCP server and the Default Gateway - 192.168.1.1.  Check to make sure what you posted is absolutely correct (even the most minor difference may be important).  If it is correct, then check to see if somehow you have managed to setup your wireless network by specifying a static DNS Server Address.   To do this, open Network Connections, right click your wireless connection, and select Properties.   Find the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), select it and click on the Properties button.   Page down and make sure that "Obtain DNS Server Address automatically" is selected.  OK your way out and try the connection again.  Otherwise, the ipconfig output shows that you are connecting with the router.  If the DNS server address is static, you may have set so that it works with your router at home, but won't work on most other routers.
