Can not remotely ghost gx270...

I'm trying to pull an image from a gx270, and I've installed the client (couldn't do it remotely, since I couldn't see it from my console, so I had to install manually), but when I go to pull the image, it fails while trying to update network drivers. I tried updating the network drives, as I've seen in other threads, but I think my problem is independant of that, seeing as I can ghost peer to peer. Anyone else come across this? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've noticed that if you are using Remote Installation Services that you have to use an unattended .SIF file in order to load the network drivers onto the image. You may want to go ahead and try that using a Windows 2000 or 2003 server on your network.

The problem is not your RIS or any software problem. I'm not able to ghost any of my GX270, regardless of OS is installed (tried W2k, XP, LH and dos...). I use the same boot network disk for years to map a Z: drive, and I changed the HDD in GX270 to prove my problem; instead you have a 40 gig, 10 gig or 540meg... Same problem. Replace the IDE cables, neither 40 or 80 pins didn't change anything. Using a different network card and disabling the onboard one didn't change anything at all. I see the screen to "Mark my drive" for the first time an after, freezes on a virgin ghost grey screen. Following times I ran ghost.exe directly goes to the grey virgin ghost screen. I used ghost.exe 8.0 release and also 6.5.

Trouble probably comes from the Dell's proprietary bios, but I'll be very surprised that Dell will help me with this problem... So I'll continue to be frustrated and "thinking it's my fault" like Dell probably wants I do, instead I ghosted hundreds of hard drives in hundreds of systems and never had any problem, except with this GX270...

And yes my bios was upgraded with the last one (A06). I hope I won't see newbies in this forum to ask me if the power cable is plugged in my hdd...
