Can someone please HELP

Question

OK this is the deal.I was on cable internet and i went too DSL because it was cheaper .Well everysince i went too DSL i will be in a logged onto yahoo or msn chat and i will be disconnected.They told me is was a hardware conflict .My PC was running kinda slow so i went and and reformatted it .IM still have the problems that i disconnect for msn and yahoo but the DSL activey is still up.

Did you download Java again after reformatting your system. Messenger normally needs that installed to work properly?

Yes i did i downloaded Java web start.And its still disconnecting from yahoo and msn messanger.

What version of messenger..Is it the latest one and do you use messenger with voice, etc.
