I just tried and get their home page.  http://www.utoronto.ca/

Possibly your firewall or security software is stopping it?

Thanks. I know, I too can access www.utoronto.ca on any other computer.
It's just my computer I can't access it from. I have also tried closing my antivirus and spysweeper software but I still can't access? I used to be able to but suddenly 6 mos ago I couldn't.

Hi Corollas,

Not being able to open a single web page can also happen when that webpage is not present in your ISP's DNS. Nothing that you can do if this is the case. From your end try to flushdns.

Start -> Run . In the run window type "Command"

In the command window, type "ipconfig /flushdns". Hit enter.

Then type "ipconfig /registerdns" and hit enter.

Not sure if this will help, but nothing wrong in trying. Keep updating.

Cheers,
Maddy.

Maddy, I tried steps to flush dns, but I still can't access www.toronto.ca
My IPS (sympatico.ca) claims they can access www.toronto.ca when they take over my computer. Therefore they advised the problem must be at my end?
thanks
