Run a search for available networks and see if it changed your preferred network to the coffee shop.

If Windows is managing your wireless networks, open Network Connections, right click you wireless connection, select Properties, then, in the box that opens, click on the Wireless Networks tab.  Move your network to the top of the list and move the coffee shop network further down the list.  See if that fixes it.

That didn't seem to do anything, although there's always a chance I'm doing it wrong. I'm not sure if I specified this before, but my computers saying that it can't detect any wireless networks at all.

Thank you for the suggestions, I appreciate it.

Is your wireless radio turned on?  The Fn F2 key combination should toggle the radio on and off.

Insure the wireless card is turned on and post the results of an ipconfig /all

Post the results of a what? Sorry, I have the technical suavity of a concussed kitten.

I did the Fn F2 thing. If it's any help, I've connected to a different wireless network since I posted this query, and it worked fine. I think the problem is with the modem, or something.

From a command prompt type:

ipconfig /all > C:\ipconfig.txt

Now go to your C Drive, find that file and copy the contents here.
