Can't access any websites

Hi all,
I've been trying to access the internet (websites) and can seem to get to the main page, but when I try to click on a link to go elsewhere, it wont do anything.  Tried numours websites, and still happens.  This just started up about two days ago.  Other than that, it was fine before.  I don't know what is wrong.  I can use MSN Messenger or AIM with no problem.  Just the websites are an issue.  Tried Internet Explorer and Netscape and nothing.  I am using Microsoft Outlook now to do my internet searching.  Also, I can't get my Realplayer to play and Im thinking that has something to do with me not being able to access the websites.  Any idea as to what could be wrong?
Thanks
-Kristen

also, pop ups that come up say "page not found" and its from some "smart-offer" website.. something I never heard of before.  I dont know if that means anything.

do you have popup blocker activated?   which windows version are you running?  are you running a separate popup blocker than what is integrated in windows xpsp2?  go to tools, internet settings, security.  what are your security settings?  do this, right click on the link that will go off the main page and choose open in a new window.  see if that works.  you can also try uninstalling internet explorer and reinstalling it.
