The 1394 net adpater is your firewire port and has nothing to do with networking.  You more likely have a 1390 adapter.  Which version of Windows are you running?  If you go into Device Manager and expand the listing for Network Adapters, which network adapters show up there?

I meant the 1390 adapter ofcurse :-P
Anyway theres no sign of a wireless adapter in the Device Manager, it only detects the broadcom card.
I activated it in bios so its a bit wierd that it doesnt show up in windows.

If you are sure that the 1390 card is physically installed download and install the drivers for the 1390 from the following site:

Of course this assumes you are running Windows XP (you never really said which verison of Windows).

I checked in bios again and find out that theres no wi-fi detected even though i can enabled it in bios. So my conclusion is that i might have to flash the bios (its dated mars 2006) to detect it or else there is no wi-fi integrated on this model, can that be the case?

Do not flash the BIOS.  This is not the problem.  Check to see if there is a wireless adapter installed in the Mini Card slot:

Guess i could never imagen that there wouldnt be any wireless card in it but thats the fact, thought it was standard on all 9400 models. Well thanks alot for the support Steve.
