Cant connect to cable internet?

Cant connect to the internet??? Everything seems to be ok but I can't get connected.  I have other computers running off a router that are fine.  Yesterday I tried to activate the wireless function and I think I reconfigured the set up but I can't seem to correct it.  Any advise would be appreciated..

First, it would be helpful if you read the text in red at the top of this forum and provide the requested information in your reply to this message.   Then, to help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

Hi I was hoping that I could get some advice about this problem too.  I also have cable internet and I have a desktop and a laptop hooked up through a Liksys Wireless G broadband router.  It was working fine until 2 days ago.  Now my laptop won't connect to the internet.  It says that the LAN is connected but when I try to open Internet Explorer it shows a blank page.  Please help.

I did the ipconfig /all and this is what it says:
Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix        :
Description                                        : Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
Physical Address                               : FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF
Dhcp Enabled                                    : No
IP Address                                         : fe80::ffff:ffff:fffd%5
Default Gateway                                :
NetBIOS over Tcpip                          : Disabled

Tunnel adapter Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix         : hsd1.co.comcast.net.
Description                                          : Automatic Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
Pysical Address                                  : CO-A8-01-65
Dhcp Enabled                                     : No
IP Address                                          : fe80::5efe:192.168.1.101%2
Default Gateway
DNS Servers                                      : fec0:0:0:ffff::1%1
                                                              fec0:0:0:ffff::2%1
                                                              fec0:0:0:ffff::3%1
Net BIOS over Tcpip                             Disabled

Hope this helps.  Thanks.

Nikki,

It looks like you have successfully hijacked this thread.  I am sure whsyrdaddi will appreciate this.  In the future, please start a new thread rather than jumping in to someone else's thread.

Your problem is that you have your TCP/IP properties set to not use DHCP.  You need to set it to obtain an IP address automatically. Open Network Connections, right click your wireless connection and select Properties. Find the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), select it, then click on the properties button. Put a check mark next to "Obtain an IP address automatically", and, if necessary, put a check mark next to "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

Repeat this for your Local Area Connection.

You also have IPV6 installed, for what reason I cannot tell.   Hopefully it is not further complicating things.
