can't connect to internet using DELL wireless 2350 router
I have a difficulty accessing internet through DELL wireless 2350 router and your help would be appreciated.
I purchased the router about 2 months ago and it worked just fine until recently:
using WPA encryp, connected wireless inspirion 6000 and wired 8100 to dsl modem (SBS DSL).
using WPA encryp, connected wireless inspirion 6000 and wired 8100 to dsl modem (SBS DSL).
But now I cannot access the internet for no obvious reason that I can think of...
After a few attempts to fix the problem, I even "reset" the router to start over, which did not help either. I did play with the settings in
http://my.router in no vain.
In "Internet Connection Settings"
I provided Mac address of modem with Connection Type of DSL (PPPoE) - shouldn't this be right?

Why do you need the MAC address of the modem? YOu need to make sure the SSID names are the same, WPA keys are correct, and MAC filtering is using the correct MAC address ( if you are using MAC filtering).
Try connecting with the default settings first, then change one setting at a time.

Somehow I made it work by setting as cable modem instead of dsl...
Thanks anyway.
