Can't Connect to Wireless Router

Hello.  My son has an Inspiron 1200 with a Dell wireless card.  I was able to configure his PC to connect to my Linksys wireless router.  It was working fine but he rebooted his PC and now I simply cannot connect to the router any more.

I have tried a number of things but to no avail.

Any help?  Per Device Manager, the wireless card is operating just fine.

Thanks in advance for the help.

To help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

That doesn't look like the complete output from the ipconfig /all command!!

Is the wireless adapter enabled?  Is the radio turned on (the Fn F2 key combination turns the radio on and off)?  You say you have tried "a number of things", can you be a bit more specific???

I tried Fn + F2 but nothing happened.

Also, I tried to create a new wireless connection through the wizard, disable and re-enable the connection, etc.

I must have done something right last night as it was working fine until we shut the PC off and turned it back on.

I'm grateful for your suggestions.

If you open Network Connections, does your wireless network connection show up there?  If so, if you select it and click on the Connect button, what happens?

Do you have WEP or WPA encryption enabled on the router?  Is your firewall possibly blocking the network connection?

I can't open the network connections (grayed out).  As far as I know, no WEP or WPA encryption and I unchecked the box for firewall.

I hope that I won't have to reload Windows XP but it may come down to that.
