Can't detect home wireless network

Dear Forum:
My daughter ha a Dell Inspiron 600m notebook with an Intel Pro 2100. I had set it up to access our home wireless network (Linksys WRT54G) and it worked fine. My daughter uses it at college and connects wirelessly there. When she came home this Christmas break, her computer could not detect the home wireless network. I have been unable to make do so.
Is there a step by step tutorial I can go to to sort this out. I'd like to reload the connection if that is possible.
Thanks!

When you said it could not detect your wireless network, you meant it couldn't detect the router's SSID?  Is rotuer's SSID Broadcast setting enabled?

Yes, it is enabled. I have another computer in my house and a WGA54G that both detect and use the wireless router. They can detect the SSID that is broadcasted.
