Can't enable Bluetooth radio
A few days ago I turned off my bluetooth radio by right clicking on the BT icon in the task bar and selecting "disable bluetooth radio" from the pop up choices. Now I cannot turn in back on. When I try by again right clicking the icon in the task bar and selecting "enable" I get a message that says the bluetooth radio is turned off and to press Fn+F2 to turn it on. Problem is this just turns on and off my WiFi card instead and has no apparent effect on the BT radio!
If I go into my device manager there is an appropiate driver installed, it tells me the BT adapter is enabled and working properly. Under the bluetooth configuration menu, if I select hardware I'm told that no bluetooth device was found. This seems conflicting. The BT function used to work fine before. What went wrong and how can I get it turned back on? Thanks

wjbertrand,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
BlueTooth can be enabled either with the [Fn] - [F2] key combination or by going into the system BIOS and selecting this option. Try looking in the BIOS to enable this.

Thanks for the reply Bob. As I originally mentioned the Fn-F2 combination is only turning on and off the Wi-Fi card and is not affecting the BT device at all. How to I access the BIOS and what do I do when I'm there? Thanks.

Jeff,
Access the BIOS by tapping the [F2] key when the Dell screen appears. Use either the left and right arrow keys or hold [Alt] and [P] at the same time to change between the BIOS pages.
Please update your Dell Community Forum user profile with the service tag of your system.

Thanks Bob. I did that and I cannot access the blue tooth device in the BIOS. The cursor skips over it There's a comment there that says it's not installed. It was working before I shut it off as described in my initial post. I begining to think that the blue tooth card/hardware itself as failed now.

The card needs to be reseated into your notebook. You didn't state the notebook so I cannot provide a link to the card, but start here and choose your model.
