The antennas are fully snapped onto the mini-pci wireless card's antenna connections? It could also be XP settings. Are you saying the SSID of your router does not show up in the prefered networks list?
The antenna cables are attached (snapped) correctly.Yes, the SSID does NOT show up in my computer (no matter what I do)! I have tried "all" possible XP settings and even re-installed windows XP and SP2.
Do you have any suggestions of XP settings that I can try?
If I run "ipconfig /all" it says that the "media" (the 1350 mini-pci card) is inactivated even though I switch it on!
Gotta get it activated. Try looking first at the Device Manager entry for the wireless and see if it reports any errors. If so take care of that first. If not, try hitting Fn+F2 together to turn on the wireless, and also go to the Control Panel - Network and Dialup Connections entry for the wireless and make sure it is enabled there. Double-clicking it should enable it if it wasn't.
