Can't get Bluetooth to work
Hi,
I am having issues trying to get my bluetooth to work on my Dell Inspiron N7010 with OS Windows 7 64 bit.
I have checked the bios and Bluetooth is enabled, but I cannot see it anywhere in the device manager. The laptop doesn't appear to have a physical switch to turn wi-fi and bluetooth on and off, only the F2 key.
I have tried installing some drivers/patches as suggested in some topics I have read on here, but to no avail.
When I try installing the patch from http://dell.to/ZYCm8C, it simply downloads the following files to C:\Dell\Drivers\R159805:
Btw_on.exe
Version.txt
When reading the text file it mentions that the patch is for Vista and XP versions, not Windows 7. Running Btw_on.exe does nothing.
Also, I've downloaded the the Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth Driver files; but when running the Setup.exe, a window appears sayng 'Activate Bluetooth using Wireless switch'. When using F2 to do this, switching the wi-fi on and of does nothing, leaving the 'Cancel installation' message the only option to select.
I've not be able to find any alternative suggestions via search engines. If anybody can offer any suggestions it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
