cant print from wireless laptop

Question

I know how to add a network printer, but don't the wireless laptop (From where I want to print from) and the desktop (that is driving the HP 1320) have to be on the same network?  I know their computer names, IP addresses, workgroup names etc., and I've shared out the printer...but I can't seem to reach the printer from the remote laptop?    Make sense?  Any ideas?

Yes, the laptop that is connecting wirelessly and the desktop to which the printer is attached have to be on the same network and within the same subnet.   If both are connecting to the same router, then they will be on the same network and within the same subnet.     Have you configured all third party firewalls (on both computers) to allow local network access?     Steve
