changing default email

Question

....can anyone tell me how to do this...every time i try to send an email from ' my pictures' or ' my documents' and certain 3rd party software ( resume ) my computer defaults to AOL which i no longer use...i have DSL through someone else. id like to use my AIM or gmail account to send my stuff out..because of this problem i cant send a resume where it needs to go.   any help?   ps..i never deleted any AOL stuff. i just deactivated my account with them if that matters.

wow ..that was fast :smileyhappy: it only gives me options for AOL, Hotmail, MSN, Outlook, and something called corelCentral. is there anything i can do to add gmail or AIM? thanks again!

control panel>internet options>programs and choose you default email program.

Did you eve resolve this issue?  I have the same problem.  I would like to establish gmail as my default e-mail but in the Programs tab of Internet Options, like you mentioned, there are only four choices and gmail isn't one of them.  tdj

ha! yeah in a way it was resolved. i had all AOL stuff removed from my system.

Hi,    I'm having the same issue right now. I am trying to change from Earthlink(which was deleted a long time ago) to cruzio.com. - I followed the instructions... control panel, internet options, program - but the option for default email is not showing. Is there another way around this? I am trying to reply to craiglist and it brings me to the same place in Outlook stating Earthlink is my server.
