I just bought a B130 laptop not being aware that the slot for external cards are for express cards only. Really perturbed me off that Dell did'nt mention this on the menu. I have TMobile and they said the express cards are coming out some time in July. The PCMCIA CARDS ARE GOING TO BE A THING OF THE PAST, so I'm holding on to my B130 and praying that the new cards work.
And That's That

I emailed somebody at expresscard.com and sierra wireless. A lady at Sierra says that the cards will not be available until 2007!!! Unreal
Anyone hear any other news?

The device utilizes the speedy USB 2.0 bus for transfers to host computers of up to 480Mbits/sec. (2.0 connections only). The reader is fully compatible with USB 1.1 equipped systems adjusting to the lower bus speeds automatically. The cross-platform unit draws power from USB and you can hot swap cards in the reader or the reader on your device bus. Backed by Synchrotech's one year limited warranty and highly trained technical support, the only thing you will have to worry about is finding new uses for the device
