Code 10 error

Hi, ive recently posted the topic in General Hardware, but with no replies forthcoming im thinking perhaps it was the wrong place so ill repost here.Heres the link to the original post: http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_general&thread.id=243112 Hi, i just installed a 3COM 3CCFE574BT on my Latitude CPIa (a real antique!!) and when it finished it said there was a problem. The error code in device Manager says Code 10. After googling code 10 i got more confused, so i was wondering if there is something obvious i can do to fix this. Ive tried so far: 1 Different drivers 2 Detaching/uninstalling, retaching reinstalling 3 As above but deleting registry keys associated with it 4 Assinging a different unused IRQ 5 Emailing 3Com (no reply) 6 Installing it on a different laptop (it worked fine) 7 Asking it nicely to work I realise its a discontinued product, so im thinking 3Com wont be able to help in anyway, but i had to try. Ive looked on microsofts page about error code 10 (as helpful as ever, thanks billy), and had no luck there. If anyone has any idea at all, i'd be eternally gratefull. Thanks, Fateless
