Compatible USB network device rquired.

Hi,

I have a Dell PE2800 runing Windows 2000 Server.

I suspect that the embedded network card is faulty. So I need to connect to the LAN by some other means. Wireless is not an option in this case.

So, I would like a USB network adaptor.

Does anyone know of a compatible device? One that is known to work in a Dell PE2800 with Win2000 Server?

Help appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the response.

I understand the physical compatability issues, but I was really referring to compatability with Windows 2000 Server OS.

Anyone with relevant experience prepared to help?

The U in USB stands for Universal.  Although I do not have experience with USB network adapters and a PE2800, it would seem to me that any such device should work with any computer in the Universe that has a USB 2.0 port, which the PE2800 does.  You might also consider a PCI network adapter (cost < $15) if you single PCI slot is not poplulated.
