hey again.  can you tell us what you mean by picking up multiple IP addresses?

each computer has more than one address or each computer has one address for a total of 2?
 
Can you give me an example of a  single computer having two IP addresses?  What are the two addresses?  If possible, click start, click run, type CMD and press enter.
 
then type       IPCONFIG /ALL
 
and then copy and paste the results here.

Well its connected to a network and dhcp gives the ip addresses.. but i have 2 computers that have more than 1 ip when its suppose to only have 1 .. does that help any?

how about this... what does it mean when i am in the local area connection status and under activity it has way more bytes received than it has sent?

it simply means that the computer (network connection) has received more information than it has sent out since you've been connected.  that's very normal for home or client use as most data is coming to you and not being sent out.
