Computer will not connect to small office network

We have a small network of 3 computers and my computer is not connecting to the network. The error message is limited or no connectivity. When I try to repair it comes back that cannot find IP address. I have changed the network card but it still comes back with the same message. I have formatted the hard drive reloaded XP but it is still doing the same. Can anyone please help.

It may be the cable - try changing that..
Have you taken the PC to a desk that is working and tried it there to make sure its not the jack/cable?

Check the IP/DNS/WINS - are you DHCP or static IP?

also can you ping your local host address 127.0.0.1 I believe and see if you get a response? That will tell you if the NIC or even possibly the cable connection is bad.

What does an IP config bring back?
