I had the same problem today. I eventually had to take it to the geek squad to fix. what you should do:

go to internet connections

under the connections tab make sure that there's nothing there.

if you see connect via broadband etc delete it.

that was the problem with why i couldn't connect to the internet. hope this helps

how did you get to internet connections? sorry i am really not good with computers haha!
