Silly me. A mispositioned click and blammo its all gone
WiFi adapter intelwireless pro 2200BC. If intel software is configuring it,adapter will not find Linksys router signal. With Windoze configuring, network is present(boffo internet up and down) but the adapter is not ping able and I cannot share filesor printer with host computer. Ran Network setup wizard too many times..All the right protocols installed. Have tried assigned and static IP's. Inspiron can ping host computer. Dell has been very unsympathetic, ditto Linksys. Still waiting for a reply from Intel. VERY frustrated.
Files now being shared. Printer shows up on wireless computer as offline. Simple file sharing was not turned on in one box. And I left the name MSHOME. Using ZA on my winboa with wireless IP trusted. No firewall besides router on wireless yet. GRC could not hack in
You have to physically share the printer also. Just turning on File & print Sharing will not do it. Right Click the Printer and go to Sharing to follow the wizards.
"Check the Security Tab to make sure that "Everyone" is checked for access" Can't find that. However I was able to print from wireless. In right click (on host box)options I clicked on work offline. Mid you when it printed I got a communication error message on the wireless machine.
