Configure Network Printer

Hello,

I have successfully setup my Syslink BEFSR41 Router to communicate the internet to both my new dell 8300 (winXP) and my old (win98) computer. I also can share files on both computers.

I cannot get the older computer to print to my printer. No problems printing from the new computer!

Can someone help with this... I'm sure I have overlooked something in the configuration on the old computer, but I don't know what to look for.

Thanks very much!

I will assume you have shared the printer on the local machine so what you need to do is setup the pribter on the ohter machine as a network printer.  Fairly straight  forward under the Add a Printer Wizard.

can you guys help me? i just set up my new laptop(windowxp) and old desktop(win98) so they are connected wireless. sounded like your setup, that's why I ask. I am having trouble finding out how to share files, i only know how to get them both on the internet. and I also have only one printer so would like to set up the printer to print off both. i will try what you suggested, but not sure if it will work, since i don't know how to share files. would appreciate any advice.

thanks, Barb
