Connect Sometimes

Wonder if anyone can help me out.  I have a 3 computer hardwired home network and 1 laptop, hooked thru a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router.  My main computer, although it always connects to the internet, and access's my email, sometimes does not want to connect to my home network, although the other computers on my network continue to talk to one another so to speak, my main desktop sometimes will not.

I have noticed that when my main is accessing my home network, that when I go to network connections it lists my broadcom card and says "firewalled".  When my main desktop is not accessing my home network it lists my broadcom card but doesn't say "firewalled".  Don't know if this means anything, just another piece of info.

Also, sometimes what I have to do to regain an access to my network, I go to set up a home or small office network I change my workgroup name to MSHOME, go thru the remaining steps but when asked to reboot, I don't, I go back thru the process again but put in my real workgroup name, go thru all the next steps, but this time when it asks me to reboot I do.  Then after bootup I most of the time can gain access to my home network.

There's something happening that is blocking my main computer from accessing my network, while the other computers continue to work on my network

Anyone have any ideas what's happening here.

Thanks
Mark

when you say that it will not connect to your home network, do you mean you cannot access file and print sharing with the other computers on your network?  if so, this could be due to software firewall issues/settings, among other things.  Just for testing shut down all your software firewalls (including those that may in your a/v) to eliminate that as a possible cause, and make sure your workgroup name is the same for all, and reboot each machine after making the changes.

Yes,, that's what I mean, I cannot access file and print sharing.  When I go to log on my network I get an error message saying "network not accessable, I do not have permission to log on to the next etc etc"

Yep, I did disable all firewalls, disabled my AV, disabled my antispyware, didn't help.

Thanks
