Connected modem-no dial tone
I recently upgraded to Windows XP and added the Classic Phone Tools fax software. The software recognizes my modem but says there is "no dial tone" when attempting to fax. The computer is the Dimension 733r and I do have a DSL connection. The software checks the modem ports (COM1 & COM 3) and says they are fine. Is there something I'm doing wrong here or any suggestions?
