Connecting to Wireless

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 546 desktop, and I know this is a stupid question, but I'm not sure how to connect to wireless.  It says I have an integrated NIC card, which I think means I'm capable of connecting to a wireless network, right? I really don't know anything about computers :emotion-6:.  Can someone tell me if I'm capable of connecting at all, and if so, how to go about it?? Much appreciated!

amym050,

The integrated NIC card is on your computer. It looks like a phone plug but is a little bigger. You attach an ethernet cable to it. you then attach the other end of ethernet cable to one of the numbered ports on your wireless router. You will connect to your network that way.

You might have to restart your desktop after you connect the cable.

amym050,

This is some info from Vista Windows, and How to setup a network.  You can also find help in the technology guide for you computer, and its setup guide.
