Connecting two routers

I have two routers, one primary router for fiber optic input, with four wired LAN ports, and one secondary, the Dell TrueMobile Wireless 2300. What steps do I need to follow to connect the 2300 as the secondary router to the primary fiber optic router? thanks gpawood

Connect the secondary routers WAN port to one of the primary's LAN ports, and away you go. Some say you can go as many as 3 or 4 deep on chained routers.

If you want to use this second router as a switch only, connect one of its LAN ports to a LAN port on the primary, turn off DHCP in the secondary router. The WAN port will not be used on the secondary router.

Did some reading today and just tried what you mentioned,,,, works fine. For this particular router, the 2300, just select "Access Point" in the router setup, restart the router, and connect LAN to LAN on the routers. It's as simple as that. Thanks for the quick reply, problem solved. gpawood
